  • What insurance plans do you accept?
    Provider contracted insurances are as follows: Megan Banks, PMHNP: Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Magellan Daniel Liptak, PMHNP: Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Magellan Please verify your benefits to ensure your provider is covered under your plan. Patients out of network may request a statement for their insurer to reimburse them if they have out of network benefits.
  • Are virtual appointments offered?
    In person appointments are required for initial consultations, but both in-person and virtual appointments are available for follow ups. Virtual appointments are conducted through a HIPAA secure service, Doxy.me. As federal requirements change regarding controlled substances, in-person appointments may be required for those who are prescribed controlled substances (e.g. Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse, Klonopin, Xanax, Ambien, etcetera) as required by law.
  • How long are appointments?
    Initial appointments are 90 minutes in length, and follow up appointments are 60 or 30 minutes.
  • How do I schedule an appointment?
    Please contact the practice for new patient inquiries or visit our patient portal to schedule an appointment if you're an existing patient.
  • Will you fill out FMLA paperwork?
    FMLA paperwork is only completed for individuals that have been active patients adhering to their treatment plan 6 months or longer.
  • What level of care is Eureka Psychonautics & Psychiatry?
    Eureka Psychonautics & Psychiatry is an outpatient level of care. Respectively, higher levels of care above outpatient include intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization program (PHP), inpatient, and residential treatment centers (RTC). Emergency level acuity requires higher levels of care like the latter.
  • How do I log onto my virtual appointment?
    Daniel Liptak's doxy link is doxy.me/pmhnpdan and is the same for all appointments. Megan Banks' doxy link is doxy.me/nursemeganaprn and is the same for all appointments. Ensure that your video and microphone are working prior to the appointment start time, and treat virtual appointments just as you would an in person appointment.
  • I was a patient at Austin Family Mental Health; how do I transfer care to Eureka Psychonautics & Psychiatry?
    1: Pay any owed balances at AFMH 2: Call or email to notify us you'll be continuing your care 3: You will receive a link to create your patient portal 4: Read and sign new office paperwork (make sure your insurance, credit card, address, pharmacy, etcetera are up to date) 5: Schedule your next appointment
  • How do I request a medication refill?
    For refill requests, please message the admin/refills inbox via your patient portal. You may alternatively email admin@eureka-psych.com if you experience technical issues with the portal.
  • I’m on a controlled substance—do I need to come for an in person visit?
    Beginning January 1, 2025, patients receiving tele-behavioral health services will require an in-person visit at least once within six months of initiating services and every 12 months thereafter.
  • How do I get the best prices on prescription drugs?
    Check the cost of your insurance plan and compare to cash coupons such as GoodRx; you can input your medication, dose, and quantity for a cash pay estimate and take the coupon to the pharmacy.
  • I didn’t read any of the information contained in the office paperwork that I signed that said I read it. Am I still responsible for adhering to the policies contained therein?
    Yes.
  • You mention ketamine and psychedelics; can I still be a patient even if I'm not interested in that?
    Of course; while expanding service offerings will entail psychedelics, it is not the primary operation of Eureka Psychonautics & Psychiatry.
